First, fly to Auckland where you’ll be treated to the sites of New Zealand’s most populous urban area. Continuously ranked as one of the world’s most livable cities, Auckland straddles a volcanic field, making its terrain extra interesting. A true melting pot with a particularly large Polynesian and British population, Auckland is the yachting capital of the Southern Hemisphere. On your private tour of the city, visit the SkyTower, see the set of The Lord of the Rings, and explore Auckland’s eclectic neighborhoods. Set aside some time for shopping, visit a theme park, or take in one of the city’s many natural attractions.

Next, head to Rotorua where you’ll experience New Zealand’s rural side. Immerse yourself in Maori culture, visit an area farm, check out the geysers and thermal springs, or take a walk around one of the area’s 16 stunning lakes. After your time in Rotorua, continue to Taupo for an overnight stay. Taupo sits on the shore of a large lake, where you can enjoy a leisurely cruise or visit one of many hot springs, suitable for bathing.

After a relaxing stay in Taupo, depart for the city of Queenstown, situated on the shores of Lake Wakatipu.
